Important: All transactions on IRL Fans are processed through third-party payment processors (Stripe). Refunds are subject to their processing times and policies.

1. Tips and Donations

1.1 General Policy

Tips and donations made to creators are generally non-refundable. By sending a tip, you acknowledge that:

  • Tips are voluntary contributions to support creators
  • Tips are final once processed
  • You will not dispute or reverse tip transactions

1.2 Exceptions

Refunds for tips may be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Unauthorized Transaction: If your account was accessed without authorization
  • Technical Error: If a tip was sent due to a platform malfunction
  • Duplicate Charge: If you were charged multiple times for the same tip
  • Fraudulent Activity: If the creator's account was involved in fraudulent activity

1.3 Refund Request Timeline

Refund requests for tips must be submitted within 48 hours of the transaction. Requests made after this period will not be considered.

2. Event Tickets

2.1 Creator's Refund Policy

Each creator sets their own refund policy for event tickets. The refund policy is displayed on the event page before purchase. Common policies include:

  • Full Refund: Refundable up to X days before the event
  • Partial Refund: Partial refund with cancellation fee
  • Non-Refundable: No refunds under any circumstances

2.2 Event Cancellation

If a creator cancels an event:

  • All ticket holders receive automatic full refunds
  • Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
  • Notification is sent to all ticket holders

2.3 Event Changes

If an event's date, time, or location changes significantly, you may be eligible for a refund. Contact the creator or our support team within 7 days of the change notification.

3. Merchandise and Products

3.1 Return Period

Products may be returned within 30 days of delivery if:

  • Item is unused and in original condition
  • Original packaging is intact
  • Tags and labels are attached

3.2 Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Digital products and downloads
  • Custom or personalized items
  • Perishable goods
  • Intimate apparel or hygiene products
  • Items marked as "Final Sale"

3.3 Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective product:

  • Contact the creator within 7 days of delivery
  • Provide photos of the damage or defect
  • A replacement or full refund will be issued

3.4 Return Shipping

Return shipping costs:

  • Defective Items: Creator pays return shipping
  • Change of Mind: Buyer pays return shipping
  • Wrong Item Sent: Creator pays return shipping

4. Subscriptions (Future Feature)

For recurring subscription services:

  • You may cancel at any time
  • No refunds for partial billing periods
  • Access continues until end of current billing period
  • No charges after cancellation

5. Platform Fees

IRL Fans platform fees (5% of transaction amount) are non-refundable, even if the underlying transaction is refunded. Only the creator's portion is refunded to the buyer.

6. How to Request a Refund

6.1 For Tips

  1. Contact support at info@irlfans.com
  2. Provide transaction ID and reason for refund
  3. Include any supporting documentation

6.2 For Event Tickets

  1. Check the event's refund policy on the event page
  2. Contact the creator directly through their profile
  3. If unresponsive, contact support

6.3 For Products

  1. Contact the creator through your order page
  2. Explain the reason for return
  3. Follow the creator's return instructions
  4. Ship the item back (if applicable)

7. Refund Processing Times

Once a refund is approved:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days
  • Bank Transfer: 7-14 business days

Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

8. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback instead of requesting a refund through proper channels may result in:

  • Account suspension or termination
  • Loss of access to all platform features
  • Additional fees to cover chargeback costs

Please always attempt to resolve issues through our support team first.

9. Disputes

If you have a dispute regarding a refund:

  1. Contact the creator to attempt resolution
  2. If unresolved, escalate to IRL Fans support
  3. Provide all relevant transaction details
  4. Allow 5-7 business days for investigation

10. Creator Responsibilities

Creators on IRL Fans are responsible for:

  • Honoring their stated refund policies
  • Processing refunds within reasonable timeframes
  • Responding to customer inquiries promptly
  • Delivering products and services as described

11. Exceptions and Special Cases

IRL Fans reserves the right to issue refunds at our discretion in cases of:

  • Platform errors or technical issues
  • Creator violation of terms of service
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Exceptional circumstances

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
